One of Unwell’s brand values is the unexpected. An official partnership with the 150th Kentucky Derby delivered on that promise as Unwell surprised fans with three days of activations around Louisville as well as in the Churchill Downs’ infield featuring Alex Cooper, Alix Earle and a ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast with Dave Portnoy. The events earned a total social reach of more than 66 million views.

As a Production Assistant for Unwell's 150th Kentucky Derby activation, I contributed across multiple facets of the experience. I was part of the fabrication team responsible for hand painting life-size model horses for the debut of Big Al's Bar, helping bring a key visual installation to life. During the event's live programming, I assisted the host on stage during the competition segment, and took on daily set up and breakdown responsibilities. On race day, I supported publicity by escorting talent around Churchill Downs.
